Frequently Asked Questions

I'm new to counseling, what should I expect during my first visit?
Karen David will meet with you and spend the hour getting to know more about you as a person and your goals for therapy. This is as simple as meeting someone new and having an enjoyable conversation with a intention to building trust.
How long are sessions, and how long does treatment last?
Sessions are typically an hour long. Since every person has unique needs, not one treatment plan is the same.
Individuals can continue treatment for a short period of time, or continue with ongoing sessions. The options are really based upon each individual's needs.
Are virtual therapy sessions available?
Karen David does provide both in-person and telehealth visits. The connection and conversations, no matter how they occur, are extremely important to providing the personalized care that is part of the integrative counseling treatment Karen believes in.
